Golden oysters

Golden oysters

A few weeks ago I had intended to paint something abstract and circular, using metallic gold acrylic paint, stark black with a bone-colored beach.   It was to be the focal point of a third-story landing. Not unexpectedly, my inner muse hijacked the intention  (which happens in most every painting that I like enough to publish online.)  “Golden Oysters” was the result, and it was instead placed in the fourth-floor bar, which boasts quite an impressive Montrose view of the downtown Houston city skyline.

Much JOIE can be found by being open and receptive to an unexpected result.
