Necessary

Necessary

Time-consuming but Necessary.  Color depicted on the pen tip can be deceiving. Another factor is how the pigment reacts with water.  {sometimes very perplexing}…

I finally caved and bought a set of Arteza Watercolor Pens.  OMG... Meow.

I am a very spontaneous and splashy artist, and the Arteza pens react immediately, almost like confetti!  What I mean by this is, “whatever happens, happens” and I am satisfied with the result. I assume the universe is giving me divine direction. This exercise is extremely gratifying (and necessary) for a watercolor artist.

I came across a Pinterest page featuring the Royal Ballet of London's performance of the "Tale of Jeremy Fisher."  The images of the coloured botanical backgrounds, water plants, trout, water beetle and, of course, a frog named Jeremy  are absolutely enchanting.
